Leah Kirts is a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn.

Leah has over five years of combined professional experience in food journalism, copywriting, and copyediting for news outlets, non-profits, and start-up businesses. Her freelance work has been published in Saveur, Edible Brooklyn & Edible Manhattan, and GOOD Magazine, among others, and her expertise is grounded in connections between food, gender, social justice, and veganism.

Leah holds an M.A. in Food Studies from New York University and a B.A. with honors in English Literature from Indiana University in Bloomington, her charming hometown. Leah currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
