Leah Kirts is a freelance journalist based in Brooklyn.

Leah has over five years of combined professional experience in food journalism, copywriting, and copyediting for news outlets, non-profits, and start-up businesses. Her freelance work has been published in Saveur, Edible Brooklyn & GOOD, among others, and her expertise is grounded in connections between food, gender, social justice, and veganism.

Leah holds an M.A. in Food Studies from New York University and a B.A. with honors in English Literature from Indiana University in Bloomington, the charming city she considers her hometown. Leah currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
